STERLINGS PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Over the past 39 years, Sterlings, in its own right and through its principal, have managed the following relevant projects:-

Health

Major theatre and ICU facilities at Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital in Brisbane;
Ward, service and treatment facilities at Gosford Hospital on the Central Coast;
Ward, service and treatment facilities at Wyong Hospital on the Central Coast;
New theatre and ICU facilities at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital at Gateshead, Newcastle.

Aged Care

34 bed aged care hostel and 12 self care units for Catholic Care of the Aged at Nazareth Village, Belmont North;
40 bed aged care hostel and associated facilities at Maroba Nursing Home at Waratah;
Extensions and refurbishment of 100 bed nursing home for Uniting Care at Nareen Gardens at Bateau Bay.

Resort

Hyatt Regency Hotel at Sanctuary Cove, Queensland - including 250 bed hotel, specialty restaurant, separate lobby and convention centre and 2 hectare beach pool;
Twin Waters Resort Development at Maroochydore, Queensland - including hotel, restaurants, golf course and private residences;
Shoal Bay Resort & Spa – Shoal Bay – including 220 strata title apartments, townhouses and penthouses spread over two medium rise towers and three 3 storey buildings including conference facilities, health and spa facility including pool, resort pool with beach and children’s facilities.

Residential

24 residential apartments at McMahon’s Point;
18 residential apartments at Glebe;
120 residential apartments development - Toukley (approved for 53 apartments through 3A development approval – currently working through iconic development process with Council to extend approval to 120 apartments);
management of manufacture of modular housing in China for mining operations in WA.

Educational

St. Paul’s’ High School Booragul – Stages 1 and 2 for new school;
John Paul College Stage 6 – extensions and redevelopment of the College facilities – Brisbane.

Commercial

Broadmeadow Racecourse Bar & Grandstand – Newcastle;
Singleton Returned Servicemen’s Club – extensions and refurbishment;
State Bank Redevelopment – partial demolition and reconstruction of a extended 10 storey building in Newcastle;
Head Office Development at Wooloongabba for Allgas Corporation – Brisbane;
Newcastle Entertainment Centre – a 5000 seat multipurpose building in Newcastle;

Cardiff District Workers Club - Stage 2 - extensions and refurbishment;
Belmont Sportsman’s Club - refurbishment and extensions;

Industrial

Toowoomba Veterinary Laboratories - veterinary facilities for Queensland Department of Primary Industry;
Newcastle University Central Animal House - design and construction of new facilities;
Myuna Colliery - Men & Material Drift - construction of above ground facilities;
MSB Offices & Workshops, Kooragang - construction of facilities;
Structural steel and cladding for 17000m2 storage and cool room facility in Devonport, Tasmania for Pitman Constructions;
Margarine manufacturing facilities for C&W Constructions at AP foods – Rutherford.

Prior to that, Terry Roche worked for Dove Brothers Ltd, a prominent construction company based in Islington and operating from 1781 to 1993 which worked with most of the major architects of the late 19th to 20th century. Work for Dove Brothers included refurbishment & restoration works at :-
